Pearly Quartz
Pearly white, mostly well-rounded quartz, ideal for applications in Japanese gardens and to lighten darker areas of the garden or pathway. Holds its colour well. Size: 25-16, 16-12mm.

Barleycorn Quartzite
Contemporary, yet soft in tone, this golden and cream coloured, rounded and sub-rounded quartz gravel, helps to bring a feeling of both light and warmth to a pathway or mulched area. Size: 12-7mm.

Scottish Beach
As the size becomes smaller, below about 50mm, we call them pebbles, the colours slowly become slightly richer with an increase in the proportion of granite. Size: 20-14, 14-8mm.

Lakeland
Smooth but not quite as round as the Scottish Beach Cobbles, these are 60% dark bluish grey (almost black when wet) and 40% mainly grey-pink granites. A darker colour, a different effect. Size: 40-20mm.

Rounded Flint Stones
A most versatile, smoothly rounded flint pebble of greyish brown colour. once rounded by the sea but with the typical flint tones, these are especially in keeping with the colours of S.E. England. A very effecient drainage medium often used around buildings. Size: 30-20mm.

Cobbles - Naturally formed and rounded
Scottish Beach
The smoothest and most round natural cobble in the U.K. Formed by the tidal reworking of a glacial river deposit, now a 'raised beach'. When dry these are predominantly light greys with hints of pink and other hues; when wet these multi-pastel tints, often speckled or banded, are accentuated. Size: 70-50mm.

Meadowgrass Marble
Generally light grey with flashes of green, the colours range from pure white to grey threaded with black veinlets, the whole cut by yellowish green serpentine veins. Once quarried on the Isle of Iona as an ornamental marble, similar green serpentine has been a favourite of sculptors and jewellers for centuries. Size: 150-80mm.

Paddlestones
Specially tumbled from crushed slate waste so that it has nicely rounded edges. The flat nature of the material is good for dry riverbeds, mulches and many speciality designs. Size: 200-125, 125-50mm.
