Having prepared the ground, put down the shingle and the stone, now place your plants (and larger stones) in the positions you would like. Take into account:

  • Their eventual width and height
  • Deciduous or evergreen or a good mixture
  • Colour combinations
  • Don’t have a ‘currant bun’ effect. Try to plant in groups.
